IT CATEGORY

In this category, students may participate in three subcategories; namely, Short Movie/Animation, Programming and Hardware Control. Students are expected to show their ability in both technical and creative thinking issues.

 Short movie criteria:

  • Topic: Any Motivational
  • File upload: All video files should be uploaded to YouTube.
  • Participants: 2 person at most
  • Video file and format:
  1. File name: Country_Project Name_for UNIPO-2019
  2. Duration: Length of video may vary from 3 to 7 minutes
  3. Video size: Not smaller than 720p: 1280×720
  4. All entries should begin with a 5 second full-screen “title screen” that includes the following information:

-Video title

-Main participants

-School name

-Country

  1. No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.
  2. Adults may assist with production but are limited to verbal guidance only. Adults are allowed to be actors or cameramen but not content contributors.
  3. Content must not 1) promote illegal behavior; 2) support racial, religious, sexual or other invidious prejudice; 3) advocate sexual or violent exploitation; 4) violate rights established by law or agreement; 5) invade the privacy of any person.

Computer Art criteria:

Computer art – is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology as an essential part of the creative or presentation process.

The following categories of art will be accepted 2D artwork, 3D artwork, 2D animation, 3D animation. you may use any software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD etc.

 Hardware control:

Create a software controlling or cooperating with an electronic/mechanic device. You are free to choose from anything that is safe and permitted by your parents.

You should try to piece together your own original device, from whatever spare parts and tools you have at your disposal.

Participants (not more than two) should create a device, record clearly (with high sound and video quality) during demonstration and explanation of created device in front of a stand.

Programming

In this category, create a software program or application by using any computer language and apply for the UNIPO-2019.

The purpose of your software or application should be related with education.

Take presentation video of your project in which you should explain it’s structure and purpose.
